| Jerry Schoenith drove many Gale Racing unlimites (6).He also acted as a test driver. For example, the 1968 Gale's Roostertail was the first unlimited to have a pickle fork. The bow was cut away about two feet. |

Going into the Roostertail turn at 140 mph Jerry's twin-engine 6000 hp, 36 feet U-44 unlimited rolled right throwing him out of the cockpit. Then near death, the 13,000 lb monster rolled left and pinned him against the cowling. With no movement from Jerry the Roostertail restaurants’ patrons were horrified. When Jerry signal OK, the crowd cheered. |
