I wonder if you could help me out. I have been an Alice Cooper fan since the
70's and I'm trying to find information on an early performance Alice did at the
Roostertail in 1971. I was pleased to find an actual photo on your site which
was the first shot I've come across from the actual concert.
What I'm looking for is any information on that performance, especially the date
it took place on.
I know the concert must have been around spring 1971. Also, the reason why this
concert interests me so much is that the concert was recorded and made available
on a vinyl bootleg in the 70's, but no one has ever managed to find out exactly
when it was recorded. What made the concert special is that it's the only
recorded show from that era, just when Alice Cooper got their breakthrough with
the hit song I'm Eighteen.
I would also be VERY interested in buying some photos of Alice from the concert
for my own personal use if you could give me some info on that or point me to the
photographer who took the photo you have listed. Or even if I could get a scan
in bigger size, that would be nice too.
Would appreciate it tremendously if you could take the time to reply, even if
you have no info, just so I know this message reached you.
I can also tell you that I know Alice Cooper's personal assistant very well and
have met with Alice many times as well through the years. It seems no one in
their organisation have any info on this legendary performance either, so you
could be my last hope... :-)
