In the beginning the main floor was a 550 seat formal dinning room;
currently it is the Marine Room. Today the Marine Room is the second
largest catering area. On the mezzanine level, at present time is, The
Club, an exclusive 110-capacity techno style martini and party lounge.
The Roostertail’s second floor became the world renowned
Upperdeck. During the ‘60s and ‘70s, the Upperdeck was America’s
largest young adult nightclub (concert style seating 1000 capacity).
Since 1980, it has become the Palm River Room, the Roostertail’s
largest banquet facility
Fifty years later, the Roostertail is a Detroit River icon. Brothers
Michael and John Schoenith are now the owners of the Roostertail.
Reinventing in addition to refashioning the Roostertail thought out the
years has given it longevity that few complexes of its kind can tout.
